Zane Cheeseman

Zane’s an award-winning coach who obtained a world junior ranking and has been coaching the game since he was 16. He has been Head Coach at Horsmonden Tennis Club since 2002 and set up HotshotZ Tennis in 2015.
Zane still competes and is currently ranked in the top 10 in the world for singles and doubles for the over 40s and captained and played in the Great Britain over 40s team at the world team championships in 2023.
In January 2019 he gained his LTA Level 5 Masters Club Coach qualification, becoming one of only a few coaches in the country to have passed the course. He is currently training to become a qualified coach tutor to lead the next generation of tennis coaches.
Always keen to learn new coaching ideas and strategies to keep his lessons fresh and progressive, he teaches and inspires players across the board, including those new to tennis. He’s also turned his attention to wheelchair tennis and coached his pupil to become GB number 4 and Kent Player of the Year in 2013. He captained the Kent U14 boys team from 2018 to 2019, leading the sessions for the top players in the county and country.
Zane was voted Kent coach of the year in 2012 and the Regional Tennis coach of the year for 2023 and in the same year was runner up for the national coach of the year.
